چکیده

The effects of various feeding ratios on the growth, body composition, and blood chemistry juvenile mandarin fish Siniperca scherzeri (initial weight 9.6 g) were examined in recirculating freshwater system equipped with 21, 300 L tanks at 20 per tank. triplicate groups seven treatments prepared: 100% (control), 95%, 90%, 85%, 80%, 75%, 70% satiation. feed amount control group was determined by supplying apparent satiation then amounts other six based group. Fish hand-fed test diet (55.4% crude protein) for 10 weeks. Weight gain (WG) specific growth rate fed to not significantly (p > 0.05) different from those ≥ 80% but higher than 75% Feed efficiency, protein efficiency ratio, retention 95% 90% <0.05) lower ≤ 85% Condition factor, hepatosomatic index, coefficient variation affected ratio. Whole composition contents hematocrit, glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase, pyruvic glucose, total protein, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol serum ratio; however, content tended decrease as ratio decreased. Using broken-line analysis WG, it suggested that optimum fish, ranging 9.0 g 37.0 g, appeared be 87.7% without inhibition.

Genetic diversity and genetic structure of consecutive breeding generations of golden mandarin fish (Siniperca scherzeri Steindachner) using microsatellite markers.

In this study, 12 polymorphic microsatellites were inves-tigated to determine the genetic diversity and structure of 5 consecu-tive selected populations of golden mandarin fish (Siniperca scherzeri Steindachner). The total numbers of alleles, average heterozyosity, and average polymorphism information content showed that the genetic diversity of these breeding populations was decreasing. Additi...

Effects of Stocking Density on Growth, Body Composition, Digestive Enzyme Levels and Blood Biochemical Parameters of Anguilla marmorata in a Recirculating Aquaculture System

We conducted a 71-day experiment to investigate the effects of stocking density in a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) on the growth performance, body composition, digestive activity, and blood biochemical parameters of the marbled eel Anguilla marmorata. We stocked marbled eel in 1.0 m tanks at stocking densities of 12, 20, and 28 kg/m, which were designated the low-density (LD), medium-d...

Recirculating Aquaculture Tank Production Systems: Integrating Fish and Plant Culture

Recirculating aquaculture systems are designed to raise large quantities of fish in relatively small volumes of water by treating the water to remove toxic waste products and then reusing it. In the process of reusing the water many times, non-toxic nutrients and organic matter accumulate. These metabolic byproducts need not be wasted if they are channeled into secondary crops that have economi...

Expression and functional analyses of two essential myosin light chains from the fast white muscle of the spotted mandarin fish Siniperca scherzeri

Objective: The essential myosin light chains (EMLC) are the major structural and regulatory proteins that control actin-myosin interaction in striated muscles. The purpose of this work is to provide a better understanding about the EMLC properties and their expression pattern during muscle development in the mandarin fish. Material and Methods: The cDNA library was constructed to isolate and ch...
